|Abstract:||Headlines for 2012 point to the continuing evolution of cloud, big data, mobility, and social computing. But, it's the innovations happening between those trends that will make this a year of disruption for the enterprise. From new technologies to new business plans, the possibilities of where to invest resources and where to pull back are considerable.|
Charles Bess is an HP Fellow in the HP Services Research Laboratory focusing on delivering timely innovation to clients.
He was the owner of HP's global architecture capability, the Chief Technologist for numerous large clients for HP, as well as the Chief Technologist of EDS application delivery.
He is an avid blogger (http://www.hp.com/go/tnbt) and regularly publishes outside HP. He has also led HP's global technical conference.
Charles received a BSEE degree from Purdue and an MBA from SMU. Charles is currently a licensed Professional Engineer, a Distinguished Certified Architect of The Open Group, and a Senior Member of IEEE.
|Directions:||Even though TI's Forest Lane site has been given a new official entrance address at 12500 TI Boulevard and been renamed as TI's "South Campus," find our Dallas IEEE CS meetings just as you've always done. Head to the site's SouthEast (SE) entrance off Forest Lane JUST west of Greenville Avenue. Preferred parking is at extreme SE corner of the building. Enter the public lobby at building's SE corner and ask guard to direct you to conference rooms S-1/S-2 (very near this entrance). (See map.)|
